During the most recent HR Off the Clock discussion, we gathered the following information concerning wellness initiatives.

One particular employer has a relationship with CHC Wellbeing, Beyond Wellness | CHC Wellbeing | True Potential.  They provide screenings, flu shots.  In addition, they shared the concept of a health fair, where a representative from BCBS attends, Kankakee Natural Foods, Rise & Thrive along with Riverside Physical Therapy participate in providing information for their employees.

Another company does provide a credit towards an employee’s insurance premiums if they participate in the annual blood draws.

Pedometer Challenges are always a fun way to motivate your employees.  Personify Health…Personify Health | Personalized Health Platform provides opportunities to create a walking challenge complete with points and prizes.

Here’s a cool opportunity…it’s called “WOW!”  Wellness on Worksite.  It’s a newsletter one of our members creates for their employees.  It provides wellness topics, tips, recipes and so much more.

Have you ever thought about offering a few minutes each day for everyone to stand and stretch?

The concept of a Wellness Bar was shared.  On one particular day, this company provided a “bar” filled with various health & wellness products to take for free.  Items like face masks, hand sanitizer, etc., were provided.

Lastly, we had an employer share the idea of a wellness room found at their facility.  The room provided a space for calm relaxation.  An opportunity for a breather.
